When children initially undertale the learning of numbers, it is generally
done by some sort of continuum where the numbers just go on and on. Rote
learning of numbers does not necessarily introduce a child to the important
structure of our number system, grouping of tens, hundreds, thousands etc

the most commonly found pieces of equipment in schools.
